When does my subscription renew?
Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Learn where to find your renewal date and what happens to your Plot Points when it arrives.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. Monthly plans renew every month on the day you subscribed, and annual plans renew once a year. If you upgrade, your billing date resets to the day of the upgrade.
Finding your renewal date
Open the plan dialog and look at the Your billing panel. Renews shows the date of your next charge. If you have cancelled, it shows Access ends instead, and if a downgrade is scheduled it shows the date your plan changes.
What happens at renewal
- Your payment method on file is charged the plan price for the next period.
- A fresh Plot Points allowance for your plan is added to your balance.
- Any unused subscription points from the previous period expire. Booster points are not affected.
- If you scheduled a downgrade, it takes effect now and you are charged the new plan's price instead.
Expiring points
Seven days before a batch of points expires, the plan dialog shows an Expiring soon line with the amount and date, so you can use them before renewal.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the charge is retried automatically. If it still cannot be collected, your plan lapses to Free when the period ends. Contact support if you need help updating your payment method.
Price changes
If we change the price of a plan, the new price is posted at least 14 days before it applies to renewals. Prices exclude any applicable taxes.
