Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Switch from monthly to annual in one click. Moving from annual back to monthly happens at the end of your annual period.
Yes. Switching from monthly to annual happens instantly. Moving from annual back to monthly takes effect when your annual period ends.
Monthly to annual
- Open the plan dialog and set the billing toggle to Annual.
- Your current plan's button changes to Switch to Annual. Click it and review the preview.
- Confirm to go to checkout. You pay the full annual price today and a new annual billing period starts immediately.
The remaining days of your current month are not carried over, so the best moment to switch is close to your renewal date. Your plan's Plot Points allowance for the new period is issued as soon as the payment succeeds, and any promotion or coupon you are eligible for applies to this first annual payment.
Annual to monthly
There is no direct switch from annual to monthly on the same plan. To move to monthly billing:
- Cancel your annual plan. You keep full access until the annual period ends.
- Once it ends, subscribe again on monthly billing.
If what you actually want is a higher plan, you can upgrade directly from annual to annual without waiting. See upgrading and downgrading. Annual subscribers cannot upgrade to a monthly plan.
How the annual discount works
Annual prices are shown per month on the pricing page but billed once a year. The saving compared to monthly billing is shown on each plan card and can be up to 20% depending on the plan.
